wondering what i should play for my exam
on: November 01, 2008, 08:31:00 AM
What are some good pieces to play for LRSM? I have settled upon the following and not sure which to choose:

Bach Chromatic Fantasia and Fugue,
WTC P&F in C# Minor,
Partita No.2 in C Minor
Beethoven Sonata Op.31 No.1
Berg Sonata Op.1
Brahms Rhapsody Op.79 No.1
Chopin Ballade No.3
Dohnanyi Rhapsody Op.11 No.3
Ginastera Danzas Argentinas (Any one or more) – No. 2
Rachmaninov Op.23 No.5 or Op.32 No.10
Schubert Sonata d.959

Any idea which i should include or take away from the list?

Bach C# Major Bk 1, Beethoven Op31 No1, Chopin Ballade No.3, and Ginastera Danzas Argentinas (Nos. 1 & 2). Wish me luck!

Take Your Seat! Trifonov Plays Brahms in Berlin

“He has everything and more – tenderness and also the demonic element. I never heard anything like that,” as Martha Argerich once said of Daniil Trifonov. To celebrate the end of the year, the star pianist performs Johannes Brahms’s monumental Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Philharmoniker and Kirill Petrenko on December 31.
