Yamaha U1 (Silent) or U3/U5?
on: May 27, 2004, 09:51:10 AM
I'm looking to buy a new piano and these are the (approximate) prices i've been quoted:

- Yamaha U1 (Silent) - USD5,400
- Yamaha M112T (Silent) - USD4,225
- Yamaha U3 - USD6,015
- Yamaha U5 - USD7,130

I stay in a flat and the silent function would be very useful for practising at night. Can anyone who uses this regularly comment on the above models? Do the internal electronics interfere at all with their touch? Given the 600 dollar difference between the U1 (Silent) and U3, should I get the latter instead? Appreciate your advice!

Hey!
I have grand piano in my living room. I cant practise in peace if there's other people in my house  'cause that piano has  loud voice. If I'll  buy new piano It will be Yamaha U1 silent.
You want to play at nights so do I and thats another reason to buy silent piano. I have played Yamaha silent piano and it's great.
