I'm behaving...:D

pianochick: That weapon you mention...is it something like the ball-and-chain that bishops carry on a chess board?

According to db05: the term "morningstar" means that same as what the term "morninglory" means in my country (and I don't mean the flower). ;)

Why would you want to behave in this thread? :o go nuts!
And yes it is similar but instead of a chain it has a metal bar attached that the user can grip it with.
Yeah still don't get that...

I believe I made a mistake back then, and what you call "morningglory" isn't the same as I do. That's not really an innuendo, though.

This is getting too stupid now with "your mum" jokes and popping weasels and cherries, etc. Juvenile insults that mean nothing...I was under the impression you had more common sense Shaun. ;)

I thought you prefered young females, not older ones. ;)

That's "moving on," but it's in a totally skewed and misguided direction.  Ades better than Chopin.  Please.

well Chopin could only write for solo piano as oppose to Thomas Ades who has good Operas, Ballets, Orchestral music, and piano music.

Not entirely true..

He composed 80 opuses, which all involve the piano. Not all are for SOLO piano however:

In addition to his solo piano output, he composed two concertos for piano and orchestra, Opp. 11 and 21; a sonata for cello and piano, Op. 65 (Chopin's last composition published in his lifetime); a polonaise with orchestral accompaniment and one for cello with accompanying piano; one krakowiak for piano and orchestra, an Allegro de concert (possibly the remnant of an incomplete 3rd concerto), a Grand Duo on themes from Giacomo Meyerbeer's opera Robert le diable for cello and piano; and 19 Polish songs for solo voice with accompanying piano.

Did I miss any other collaborative works?

Correct, unimaginative use of instruments to the extreme, but still pretty good music.

It was a guitar duet, sort of... 1 guitar, 4 hands, so the other guy has to be standing. Like I said, it's a weird position for playing guitar.  ;)

Is this thread for posting our own sayings, or... if we find a post on the forum, should we link to it here?  I read this thread and then I start seeing innuendos in all the posts.

Here are some examples.  No offense to the original posters, of course.  (Bob puts on his junior high mentality hat.)

Find the innuendo.... This is why grammar is important.  What is the author really saying?  Really?

I wonder if it's a foreign term or some kind of method book police.

Of course, it is an "adult" method book.  Children and adults don't have the same motivations.
