It contains the writing on the image below.

Can anyone enlighten me as to what it says?

Yes , And a Gentleman is different from a male.  So if you don't treat women with respect then you are not a gentlemen then you are forbidden to urinate in the Holy bowl
and you are forbidden to seat in the crown seat of the bowl.....

Of course I did not know what it said, as it is not in English.

if it does indeed say "gents" I don't really care, because that's where it is for.

I am slightly reluctant to believe Thals initial translation, as the photo on the packet shows a living room??

But, thal is a wise old man, and although his insight into my room decor is unsettling, I'm sure it may have another meaning, that does not seem to be forthcoming from the Asian members of this forum.

Unfortunately my knowledge of non-european languages is very small.

(My knowledge of european languages is very small too.)

I suppose I will have to go through life not knowing what it really says. 
But, everytime I sit there and see it, I will think of you lot.
