Andras Schiff mentions this exact situations in one of his Beethoven Sonatas' masterclasses.
Personally, I hate when people clap, I know it's a way to thank the performers and all but I think there should be at least a small moment of silence and rest after a piece finishes. I'd join the GPAADAK if I could.

Pps. The YouTube comments video is great too. I always wondered how the mind of the average YouTuber works, do they actually think Martha Argerich, for example, has an anonymous account where she uploads her performances and then checks every comment and goes "Hmm, ISmellLikePuppies168 says I should play it faster. How didn't I think of that before?"
Anyway, I wouldn't mind seeing more like these.
