conducting a virtual orchestra

OK.  Typically students of conducting don't have at their disposal a REAL orchestra.  How can this be simulated.  And, don't say 'draw and orchestral grid on the floor.'

I'm wondering what software is out there currently that allows students to virtually experience conducting?
