Ligeti Piano Concerto midi
on: January 01, 2009, 03:28:27 AM
I know there's a midi of at least the first movement floating around somewhere online, but I can't find it.  Does anyone have it?  Thanks.

Is there some reason that you prefer a MIDI file to an actual recording of it?

That's not very clear! I can give a good live recording from a radio broadcast if that interests you. It's a very entertaining concerto.

MIDI's make it a snap to demand silence from the orchestra.

I am interested in this and would like to hear it. I really like this concerto, especially the recording with Pierre-Laurent Aimard (one of my favorite pianists) and Reinbert de Leeuw (one of my favorite conductors). What are the details of this radio broadcast?

I'd like to hear that, too.  Still looking for the MIDI.  I actually have it but it's on another computer that's broken and I don't want to fix it or take out and look through 3 hard drives.
