Has anyone tried Yamaha's silent pianos? Yamaha have a Yus series with several good instruments. Some of them also have the silent piano feature, with inbuilt digital sampled sound. I have some money to spend but I´m unsure whether I should get a regular upright and a digital to practice at at odd hours or get one of those fancy silent pianos. What do you think of these "silent" pianos? I tried some of them today, but I´m not really sure if I like either the acoustic sound or the digital even though I would benefit from such an instrument in a small apartment.
Is the mechanism thingy the same in a silent piano as in an straight acoustic instrument? Are there other brands that have similar designs?
