Hi gabsart,

I'm surprised that your posting has been here for nearly two weeks and I'm the first to respond.  I listened to your Bartok just now.  I have not played the piece, so cannot offer a knowledgeable critique as such; however, I was impressed with your playing.  I think you capture the Bartok idiom well, and you display much musicality and musicianship in putting the music across to the listener.  Congratulations of a fine performance!

Haven't heard this in a while.  Great piece!

I might prefer a 2nd movement with a slightly faster tempo instead of making melodies out of this sharply articulated movement.

The 3rd movement is also slightly under-tempo, methink.

Thank you very much for your comments!

rachfan, I am glad you like it  :). I am very happy if I can capture the Bartok idiom, because is one of my favourite composers, maybe my favourite...

naturlaut , yes, you are right, both movements could be faster... and indeed is one of the best pieces of BB

Best Wishes

Looks like the original you tube performance has been removed.  I hope someone puts up another example of this great piece.  I am working on this suite and would love to hear other opinions on tempo, fingering, structure, etc.

Ellen

Hello Ellen,
I suppose it is okay to post an MP3 file here of Béla Bartók's Suite for Piano Opus 14 (1916) as performed by Felipe Sarro, in response to your request for another example of this great piece.
