Can anyone recommend an electronic instrument with a decent, convincing harpsichord sound?

This site has several harpsichord sample sets.  They are free.  You could use the soundfont files with jOrgan or similar software.  All you would really need is a MIDI keyboard and computer.

I hope that could help.  Unless you are looking for a physical electric harpsichord instrument.
