I've seen Buffet R-13's for around 3k to 5k Canadian.  Depends on what bells and whistles you want on it.

I have an R-13 in Bb without some of the niceties such as an adjustable thumb rest, LH Eb key, metal rings on the inside joints, or gold plating.  Just the basic model (which is an understatement for such an instrument).

Buffet also makes what they call "Greenline" material which imitates the qualities of natural wood.  It's made from ebony powder and carbon fibre.

I've seen similar spec Selmer's in about the same price range of 5k.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

You're welcome.

Out of curiosity, how much do they cost in South America?

A Selmer Series II tenor sax costs almost the same, between 5k - 6k over here.

a good wood one, a proffesional costs around $6000...
too expensive considering that for a regular job you get $1500 a month...
