of course K.310 is harder and alot more challenging, technically&musically!

Mozart only wrote 2 minor sonatas in his life: of which one is the a minor sonata as u mentioned K.310 and the c minor one K.457. These 2 are among what musicians classify as the harder to play well sonatas.

i'm studying K.310 and i've studied K.457 sometime ago.
J.S Bach Italian Concerto,Beethoven Sonata op.2 no.2,Mozart Sonatas K.330&333,Chopin Scherzo no.2,Etude op.10 no.12&Fantasie Impromptu

I agree that the a minor is more difficult in terms of finger dexterity, but I'm not so sure why you consider it to be more difficult musically. I'm not really trying to argue, but it just seems like a blanket statement with absolutely no substance. What, exactly, is so much more musically challenging in the a minor? And don't say because it's in a minor key, because that implies minor-key compositions are inherently more musically sophisticated.

Just curious to know what you think...

ahh...you misunderstood what I meant. I said the a minor sonata is the hardest to play musical wise, I meant of the 2 sonatas the a minor& A major. I was merely comparing the 2, I did not compare it to the rest of the sonatas

i see now...
Mozart's K. 311 is not K. 331 (the very famous one). the one im studying is in D major.
maybe theory_guy was talking about the k.311 and you thought he was talking about the K. 331...
;) if any of you were wrong please post again! thanks!!!
