Reger - Variations on a Theme of Telemann
on: February 17, 2009, 11:03:37 PM
Does anyone have Reger's 'Variations on a Theme of Telemann'? The copy that I have only has the first 15 variations!

Many thanks,

Joe Wallace

Thanks Thal, I have the printed score anyway... IMHO, far preferable to Reger's Bach Variations.  Ew... talk about a cow in heat...

Yet do you know Reger's orchestral Mozart Variations (from the A major sonata)?  Great stuff.

I am not really a Reger lover to be honest old chap. There is something that is too "immense" about his work to please my brain, that is attuned to romantic trinkets.

Poems of Ecstasy – Scriabin’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

The great early 20th-century composer Alexander Scriabin left us 74 published opuses, and several unpublished manuscripts, mainly from his teenage years – when he would never go to bed without first putting a copy of Chopin’s music under his pillow. All of these scores (220 pieces in total) can now be found on Piano Street’s Scriabin page. Read more
