The Quiet Revolutionary of the Piano – Fauré’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

In the pantheon of French music, Gabriel Fauré (1845–1924) often seems a paradox—an innovator cloaked in restraint, a Romantic by birth who shaped the contours of modern French music with quiet insistence. I was reading some of the older posts that had no replies and found this one.

Send me a PM if you still want the Khachaturian Toccata.  Which Bach Prelude no. 5 in D major?  Well-Tempered-Clavier?  Book 1 or Book 2?

What recording have you got on Katchaturean? The only recording I've found is the one with..hmm.. Roland Pöntinen or something like that. But I don't think too much of it. Do you have a better one?

Khachaturian Toccata performer - Murray McLachlan.  Don't know if it's better - I haven't heard the one you mentioned.
