My friend, if you compare, then you'll surely despair.  There are always others greater and more advanced than us, and always those who are less than us.

Where you are is evidently where you should be.  And that's a good spot.  More importantly, you post as if you truly love music and the piano.  Let that be enough for you . . . and, of course, work your butt off.

Well, what I wanted to see was if you could tell me the notes without looking at the score. If you can't, you really don't "Know all the notes".

But you can, so I'm happy  ;D

I agree, its best not to base what is good enough based on other people's expectations/approval , because you will always be that horse chasing after that carrot on the stick.  If you've worked hard, and you're proud of your progress, then that's what really matters.  of course you have to deal with expectation if you want to be competitive, but I think its important to be happy and have healthy attitude  first..

I know people who're so competitive in music that they end up having nervous-breakdowns and getting injury from overstraining themselves.. and they are never happy no matter how good they get...is it really worth going through all that to be "good enough"??
