music sequencer

Does anybody here use a music sequencer to practice and use as accompaniment to their playing.

A friend lent me a Yamaha QY8 sequencer. It's really small and can fit on a piano. It's great.

But you can't back anything up and the sound is a little cheesy.

I have been looking at the QY70, but was wondering if there was something better in the same price range.

dunnow but, maybe if you have a laptop available with a nice soundcard you could connect your keyboard through midi to a soft sequencer? things like Fruity Loops, acid pro are user friendly, i you want to go pro you can get ableton live, cubase or logic for apple? even in Finale 2008/2009 you have one availabe... depends on what you want to do of course...
or you really want some hardware? check out Korg and Roland I'd say!

What about Band in a box.

Really looking for something easy that I can add Chords and have a musical style with bass and drums.
