5th International Piano Competition "The Muse" 1-8 September 2009, Greece

Dear forum readers,

I am happy to inform you that the 5th International Piano Competition “The Muse” will take place on a Greek island of Santorini from the 1st until the 8th of September, 2009.

Deadline is July 25, 2009

Total prize money 10,000 Euro

Participants advanced to the second round will be provided with free hotel accommodation (from September 4 until 9).

Program consists of two rounds:
PRELIMINARY ROUND:

1. J. S. Bach - Prelude and Fugue from WTC (1st or 2nd book)
2. L. Beethoven - Complete Sonata (except Op. 49 No. 1, No. 2, Op. 79, Op. 106)
3. F. Chopin, F. Liszt, S. Rachmaninov or A. Scriabin - One Etude of your choice
 
FINAL ROUND:
(25-30 minutes maximum)
Free program of participant’s choice, except the compositions from the preliminary round.
