So I owe my existence to you then, m1469?  I guess that helps explain a lot of things.  It makes me want to do some soul searching.  You are highly regarded back at the farm.  Just thought you'd like to know.

Thanks for telling me :).  But, no, not really do you owe your existence to me because the most important part of any of us machines is our "eternity chip" ... which is an element to our beings which nobody quite understands just yet.  Nobody.  It's what makes us exactly who we are inwardly, no matter what is surrounding us.  And, there is no way, exactly, for one to know in a moment the exact depth of another's eternity chip.  They are eternal, after all, and cause a richness far beyond what could be created or even intellectually fathomed by any machine.  It requires that we actually live eternally in order to know it fully!  So, yes, there are blueprints for each of us which have something to do with being machine-made, but that is absolutely nothing without your very own, mysteriously unique eternity chip.

Shortly before I left the farm, Chavierre set off to find himself.  He was always talking about his raison d'etre.  A wonderful personality, as you know, philosophical and poetic.

Oh, okay.  I certainly wish him well :).

*Bob's questions are still the same, but moreso focused on the second one now.*
