In the second measure:
The F chord has 4 notes: C3, F3, A3 and C4 (middle C)
The right hand plays F3 and C4 (middle C)
The left hand plays C3 and A3
Question if I play these notes, then the "A3" note for the left hand
is higher than the "F3" note for the right hand.
Is this right?
Can I use my right thumb to play C4 and my left hand to play C3, F3 and A3?
If this is also OK, why doesn't the score write in this way?
Thank you for your help!

I'll probably get a howl from the purists but as a rule I always give preference to the theme/melody. In this case any solution that maintains the phrasing of the melody would be acceptable. I play that whole chord (C,F,A,C) with the left hand.
It seems that recently I've heard this piece quite often. Once on the radio and several times on different digital pianos as demo pieces. Every performer has a different idea. There is bound to be someone out there who will agree with you.
