Rachmaninoff Etude, Op. 33 No. 3 (C Minor)
on: June 21, 2004, 10:25:16 PM
The piece was not originally published under Op. 33.  Apparently, it was added later after Rachmaninoff’s death.

I just started working on this one and I was curious if anyone, whether you have played it before or not, has any advice?  It starts out grave with the last 4 notes of a Cm scale (not harmonic) then a chord sequence, then the last 6 notes of Cm… then 1 octave Cm, etc.

There is a second section in C Major, where the fingering is quite awkward in my opinion having sight read it only once.  My version has no fingering suggestions.

Anyone have some advice.
