Help with Appassionata
« on: June 23, 2004, 05:57:01 AM »
I'm nearing the end of Appassionata (mov 1)
But I need help with some phrasing. This passage is giving me problems...
http://download.35mb.com/tonykid1324/appassionata.JPG
The part where the thumb hits the B's in the second measure, I need to find a way to get that thumb quiet or, just make the melody sing out a bit more...
What practice methods should I use to help develop this phrasing technique?? Oh, and here is a recording of myself playing through that phrase... What do you think???

Tony, for the future, you might want to host your files on servers that allow direct linking. The only one I know of that allows this (besides college webspace which is usually what I use) is yahoo briefcase. There are probably others though.
For pictures, a good one is photobucket.

Ok should work now...
I think the problem was the recording program I was using. For some reason the file which was thirty seconds long was about eight MB in size... So with a different recording program it is now less than 1...
That's why I couldn't use yahoo at first... but it works now... so back to the topic...

Tony, it still doesnt work...the jpg image needs a password (your password) to access, and the sound link still has the same problem- they cant find the web page.
Are you sure you typed stuff in right?

the phrase is good, perhaps you should give attention to the regularity.
On the technique to use, I can't say anything
