Is Schumann's presto passionato from sonata in g minor really that hard?

I've been playing for around 9 years. Last year I played schumann's 1st movement of sonata no. 2 op. 22 in g minor and next year I'll learn the next 3 parts as well and I'm gonna have to choose between the original finale (presto passionato) or the rondo.
I like the original better because it's more special and sort of completes the other movements but is it really too hard like clara said? anyone has experience with this piece?

Playing schumann is difficult because his fingering if very awkward, and playing a piece that fast is realy difficult.
