Topic: What do you do if you don't teach or accompany but still perform?  (Read 1580 times)

For a living as a pianist. 

If you're not a teacher and you don't want to accompany, but your skills aren't good enough to be out on the world stage.  How do you survive, if you plan on making a living as a pianist?

Well, if you're not good enough to play a lot of concerts and make money that way you pretty much either have to teach or do something none-musical.

Is there anything else performance-related that is not a large concert or accompanying?

Maybe running around on the college recital "circuit" but that still wouldn't pay much.
