Self Taught Pianist looking for teaching
on: June 26, 2004, 07:29:05 AM
Hi... i am Terry from Canada... I am looking for a good teacher in my region...i live in Quebec
Anyone help??
I'm 20..i've been playing for 2 years
I had a basic musical training when i was young and at 15 i played the guitar..then i got into classical guitar and flamenco...and in turn i discovered piano...with mozart and beethoven sonatas....since then i got my hands on all i could find about music, composers etc... I consider myself good...and would like to get the opinion of a professionnal teacher or concert-pianist...You can't do it all by yourself...but i'm sure some did

Hi Terry,
Sorry I'm not from that area, however you might want to check with your local colleges or universities and see if they can recommend qualified instructors. Also, if you know people that have take piano possibly they could recommend someone as well. Often the newpaper (at least in our area) will advertise people who give music lessons. And I would also check any area music studios or schools as well as stores where they sell pianos.
Hope this helps alittle.
