I was just looking at a movie soundtrack on Amazon. Title remains nameless to protect the innocent.

Not a hugely well-known movie. The composer was imitating another modern classical composer.
And the CD is about $100. The DVD of the movie is only about $5.
Even if the music by itself is very popular, I would think that would put it in the $15 range. And if it wasn't popular, I would think it would be very cheap just so the businesses could unload the material. But there are at least thirty places selling it.
I'm mystified. It was never a popular movie. It's not a big comeback movie. Why would there be so many of the soundtracks out there, but at such a high price? It's not an import either.
So of course now I want one too.
