Numeric recorder ?
on: September 09, 2009, 09:35:38 PM
Hi all,
i was wondering if anyone would have any advices on numeric recorder?
I practise a lot outside my place and i like to record my trainings to check on them after. So i thought it would be a good solution ('cos it's handy and doesn't take much place).

I'm not looking for something too expensive (about $150 or less) but with a nice recording quality (don't want to hear more noise than the piano itself :p ).

I can't find a good review on this subject....
Is it worth it?

Thanks for your help :)
Currently woking on :

- Nocturnes op.27 n°1&2 (Chopin)
- Les cloches de Genève from "Année de pèlerinage" (Liszt)
- Chaconne in G major HWV 435 (Handel)

You'll find it easier to locate the information you want when you realise that in English it's 'Digital Recorder' - I assume you must be French-speaking but 'Enregistreur Numerique' doesn't translate directly!

For that sort of price you'll have trouble - best is probably an Olympus but I'm not familiar with particular models. If you can get a Zoom H2 (probably not very much more than your budget) you'll find it's quite a high quality machine, though annoying to use thanks to unclear display and controls.
Instrumentalists are all wannabe singers. Discuss.

Whether you buy new or used, be sure you can still get supplies for it. One of my friends is now having trouble finding those little rewritable CD's for his machine..

With digital recorder i don't have to worry about supplies, 'cos it's a memory card in the recorder and that with 1Go i can record more than i need to record (even in very high quality :) )
Or maybe i get that wrong but i don't think so.
