Rach Prelude in G major Op 32 No 5.
on: October 02, 2009, 01:45:34 PM
Hello again, once again I recorded this very recently. The sound quality is poor, but if you adjust the volume it can be agreeable.
Thanks for listening

Not bad, more dynamics and it needs to be lighter. Do you use the una corda pedal during it?

Thanks, I know what you mean by lighter, no I don't think I did use the una corda pedal, but possibly at the recapitulation, briefly.

You should probably use it throughout.

That's actually a good idea.

About the quality of the sound, when you play do you 'pull' the keys with your fingers or do you 'push' at them? I get the impression you pull, you must pull to get a good sound.

I'm not sure what you mean by pull, but I've changed my technique slightly recently, closer contact with keys, I use flat side of the fingers. The rest is really listening for the sound you want, and of course a good piano always helps, I personally think Kawaie a great piano for practice.
