Scarlatti - Three Sonatas
on: October 06, 2009, 01:50:56 AM
Here are three Scarlatti sonatas that I recorded not too long ago:
K127 (A-flat)
K87 (B Minor)
K135 (E)
The idea to group these three together was not mine (I found them on a Horowitz recording), but I felt these pieces contrast each other nicely.
Despite a few wrong notes, especially toward the end of K135, I'm pretty happy with how these came out. I've always found Scarlatti very challenging... it's very hard to hide mistakes!

Hi, I find 4 virtues: technically faultless, good taste, suitable tempo and very good sound recording. So I enjoyed your playing very much, thanks a lot.
Only a word about K87, which I know better: I'd suggest you review the last melody quaver in measure 57, since what a I listened is neither what I'm accustomed to in my CD recordings, nor what I myself play from my score (I use a Lungo edition). It's the climax of this lovely piece, therefore it's important.

Hi,
it's played very nice, but it sounds very difficult to play!
also the sound recording is good, how did you record it?
