Portable digital keyboard/piano
on: October 07, 2009, 12:42:59 AM
Well I have a Yamaha YGP-635 at home, but now I'm off at college, and I just didn't have the space to put the piano in my dorm. I'm looking for another digital keyboard that I can keep in my dorm with a very small footprint; that's the main requirement. It doesn't have to be 88 keys, but 76 would be nice. Also, some type of interface with the computer would be nice (USB preferred). Lastly my budget is under $500, but $300 is really the maximum I'm hoping to spend. Any suggestions? I was going to try to make a trip down to Guitar Center soon, but without a car, it's a bit hard.

Sure you have the space, just take your YGP-635 off the stand. Two thumb screws on the bottom and boom, you are off to college. Prop it up on its end when you are not playing and your 88 key will have the same footprint as any 76 key.
If you have to have small try the Yamaha PSR-E413:
