need help with Roland , Yamaha digital piano

I know that some topics about this have already been posted. But I still don't get enough information.

Right now, I am looking for a digital piano. My affordable price is up to somwhere around US$2,000.

Well the question is:

1) Do all Yamaha P Series, and Yamaha pf500 have the same hammer action? I check the specification on the yamaha website. They all have Graded Hammer action with havier weight on the lower keys and lighter on the higher.

2) What about Roland fp5? The Roland site said, it has real hammer action with no spring, is this the same as graded hammer actions of yamaha? Can someone explain me the different?

3) Assume the same hammer actions for yamaha P series and pf500, I notice that P120 is almost half price of pf500. I know that pf500 has more feature like 128 polyphony, more voices, ....etc.
But if I connect P120 to a computer and use some software for example "GIGASTUDIO", can it produce higher sound quality.

You answered this yourself.

Every manufacturer has it's own action mechanism. You need to play them all and find the one you like best.

There a more differences between the P-120 and the PF-500. Speaker system, connectivities, pedal mechanisms. The PF-500 is a complete system, whereas you'll need a stand and pedals for the P-120. For more info, download the manuals.

Don't get hung up on the technical drivel that the ads propogate us with. Even the opinions of others can give us pre-concieved notions hindering a possibly excellent personal choice. Go to your music shop and play them all; that is the only way to tell what's right for you. A keyboard's action is a very personal thing, whether accoustic or digital. If you want to save a few bucks, there are lots of gently used keyboards in want-ads and pawn shops. Your budget is ample.

I have an earlier version of that piano- the FP3.  It has a great touch, very similar to an upright.  I can only imagine the newer one to be even better.  I prefer this digital's touch to Yamaha's digitals.  
See if something with advanced pedaling exists, where you can control the amount of pedal used.  (So it isnt always all the way on, or off completely, but somewhere in between)  I have yet to find one.
