Recommendation: Yann Tiersen (grade 5)
on: June 30, 2004, 11:34:52 AM
I personally had a lot of fun playing the piano music of Yann Tiersen (2 books "Rue des Cascades" + Music from the film "Amelie"). I think it is advertised as being grade 5 or 6. So people that are starting or want some to play some scenical music, check it out !

I have just finished learning la valse d'Amelie so on a scale of one to 10 I would say it's a 3 up to maybe a 5 (depending on your skill and what you are good at).. Great piece because you learn 3 different patterns and get a great taste of what it's like to play arpeggios without killing yourself.
