Occam's (Convenience) Razor and Verisimilitude
on: January 31, 2010, 11:43:37 PM
It's why people are stupid.

I'm quite sure.

Discuss.
If this work is so threatening, it is not because it's simply strange, but competent, rigorously argued and carrying conviction.

Given that Occam's razor attempts to organize thinking with a tool to filter out the more obvious  inaccurate solutions to a problem, the chances of recognizing verisimilitude are increased.

In short, your pomposity is more in evidence with each posting of this kind.

And 11 inches?  Even so, it would be a waste attached to you.

Why are you permitted to infest this website?  Pianistimo, a straight-forward (albeit irritating) fundamentalist Christian, was driven away, while you, a veritable sadist and pretentious bore, are allowed to remain.  There's  a conundrum for you.

Current repertoire:  "Come to Jesus" (in whole-notes)

You don't seem to understand Occam's Razor very well.  How much of the wiki article did you read, exactly?  Did you get through the whole first paragraph?

Obviously you didn't get to the sociological and psychological implications regarding the necessity to find a solution within the person's understanding, and how Occam's Razor is thus abused disproportionately to the user's intellect and understanding of logic.  Your phrasing also leads me to believe you have no idea what verisimilitude actually means (besides your use of it in general, you tautologically broke syntax around it); perhaps the google definitions led you to the false idea that it merely deals with the apparent truism of a proposition.  I could list a few books for you that might be helpful for you to read?  Of Grammatology comes most immediately to mind.

In short, your pomposity is more in evidence with each posting of this kind.

Would you like a definition for "pompous"?

Quote
Affectedly grand, solemn or self-important

Key being "affectedly".  Affect:

Quote
feign: make believe with the intent to deceive

I can't, quite say that I could be more direct.  So, really, this isn't pompous.  At all.  Not even close.  You want to know what *is* pompous?  Your response.  You feigned an understanding of these terms.

And 11 inches?  Even so, it would be a waste attached to you.

Yes.  It's really quite pretentious a name, isn't it?  Ostentatiously dignified.  Surely not meant to be taken humorously, due to its relationship with the music I upload!

Why isn't your assuredly inadequate length a waste on you?  At least I know from whence I speak.  You do not, are more crass than I (while attacking me for it) and are assuredly smaller than the 11 that you presuppose is a waste!  So I can only imagine the void between your legs.  Does it have entropy?

How am I not incredibly straight-forward?  Look at these threads.  On topics of Wittgenstein, Russell, Kant and Derrida.  But which ones are people interested in?  Favorite TV shows and what they're currently putting in their mouths.  It's merely an example of the dilemma of humanity.  I'm not trying to show people that I'm better because I know this is the problem; I'm trying to make other people aware of the problem so they can then have the choice to fix themselves or not.  Obviously, you have chosen to remain broken.  It's easier, isn't it?

I'm not a sadist; it's inefficient.  However, the most efficient path is quite often not that of least resistance: it's a straight line.  If someone gets in my way, they will be brushed aside.  In this case, like dust.  Really, give me a challenge.  Maybe you would like a different subject on which you feel you have the upper ground?  Obviously you do not understand those of this thread, nor their implications.  Maybe you'd like to take this to the "What are you Eating" thread?  I think you belong there.

And 11 inches?

I accept this as true.

There appears to be no end to this prick.

I have to say that I cannot work up much interest in the length of certain people's fingers when I've not even heard them play...
