Bach's d minor keyboard concerto
on: February 07, 2010, 09:45:11 PM
I believe Gould's performance of Bach's d minor keyboard concert may be the best available on a modern piano. It's clean performance uses little to no pedal (in my opinion) and a steady quick tempo. Are there any other performances one would recommend other than Gould's recording? (A performance on modern piano.)

There is a recording by Michael Korstick of the Busoni arrangement on the CPO label. It is an excellent recording in every way, and I would highly recommend it. It is an improvement on that old Dinu Lipatti recording, which had atrocious sound quality.
