Toward the Flame: Boris Petrushansky’s Journey Through Scriabin’s Universe

Alexander Scriabin died in April 1915, at forty-three, of a fever that took him within a week — leaving his great mystical project unfinished. He left behind a piano language no one had spoken before, one that a century later still questions every interpreter who approaches it. Boris Petrushansky has spent a lifetime preparing his answer. Beethoven at Highlands, starting March 13, 2010

Hi friends,

I'll be playing a series of short recitals and chats in Columbus, Ohio, covering 12 Beethoven Sonatas. The recitals will be held at Highlands Presbyterian Church, 6909 Smoky Row Road (that's right, no "e"), on Saturdays at 4 p.m. on the following dates:

March 13 (10 No. 1, 109)
April 10 (14 No. 1, 31 No. 2)
May 8 (49 Nos. 1 & 2, 101)
June 5 (13, 27 No. 2)
July 10 (79, 90, 53)

If I am disciplined and learn how to do it, I'll post the videos online.  ;D

If you are in the area, I hope you can make it!

Cheers!
