Oxford Piano Festival up & running
on: February 16, 2010, 11:18:18 AM
Hello everyone,
My name is Luke Berryman, I'm working to promote this year's Oxford International Piano Festival, which runs from August 1st-8th.
We've now got a video about the Festival & all that it has to offer on YouTube, so please do take a look - [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6lNpFn-Q3I].
We very much encourage all the pianists out there to send us audition tapes if you'd like to be one of the participants. Alternatively we warmly encourage musicians of all varieties to take part as observers; to sit in on the Festival, to soak up the British summer, and perhaps to have a private lesson with a member of our distinguished Faculty. Our Festival is also a rare opportunity to experience life in the heart of the city of Oxford from within the University itself. We are able to offer full bed-and-board in the idyllic, riverside setting of St Hilda’s College to all those who attend.
Any questions, don't hesitate to drop me a line [luke@oxfordphil.com]; or alternatively, check out our website [https://oxfordphil.com/piano], start following us on Twitter [oxfordpianofest], or join our Facebook group [Oxford Philomusic International Piano Festival and Summer Academy].
Thanks!
-Luke

Just accidentally bumped into a video showing bits of the student recital(s?)...you're not kidding when you said selection is highly competitive! Well, has to be so with notables like Tatiana Kolesova. And of course, the faculty list is very impressive!
