Savior of Mine (Original Composition)
on: March 02, 2010, 02:30:46 AM

Hey guys,

I posted this video on youtube on the 15th of February and wanted to know what you all think.  For some reason the amount of views that I have is stuck at 340.  Not sure why.  Anyways, I redid this from an earlier one that I had done in 2009 with my webcam.  The reason was to reach a prerequisite for one of my goals.  It is much better quality and I think I did much better as I am more of an accomplished pianist than I was in 09.  Let me know what you think I need to work on.  That'd be such a help.  Thanks

DanielFabrick

I definitely like the piece.
I would suggest letting the pedal up more (although I am a newb and I have the tendency to nail it down sometimes  ;D). I think that would give the piece a more clear sound.
With the sostenuto down that much, the dissonant notes take away from the piece IMO.

Overall, I love the piece. It has a good modern feel to it, and I like the chord progression you used when composing it.

I saw your other pieces and am checking them out.
Have you transcribed any of these?

I'm glad you like it.

I see, I'll definitely work on that.  Thanks so much for the suggestion.
I understand what you mean.

Thanks for the comments.  I appreciate the feedback.

I actually uploaded a new one today as well:

I have transcribed several but not all.  I have a program to do that with. =)
