I'm surprised that this forum's software apparently doesn't support an "Ignore" feature. It would function to permit someone whom one doesn't like, or whose posts are found characteristically found unhelpful or abrasive in form or content for any reason, to be added to one's private Ignore list—and
Presto! The text of the ignored party's public posts is removed from view.
It's a fairly standard feature for message boards, and interest in it probably dates back to Usenet's
killfile. It doesn't preclude the possibility of inflammatory exchanges, but it helps.
