Kreisleriana (1) pedaling...

Does anyone have any advice on pedaling this piece? I find this to be the most confounding element in its execution...especially the middle section.

i would use half pedal for the whole piece. It gives it that pedal pedal efect but i think half pedal helps you emphasise this piece

Thankyou so much.
I think you hit the nail right on the head. The reason I coudn't find the technique is (I'm a little embarrased to admit) that I am using an electric piano. Nice tone, adequate sensitivity for now, but horrible pedal - its on or off!

Oh well - until I have saved enough for that baby grand I hope Schumann will forgive my butchery!
