CD Funding on KickStarter.com
on: May 12, 2010, 06:47:17 AM
Greetings to all
As you may have seen by previous posts, I am doing fund raising toward my debut CD of "American Music" to be distributed internationally by Naxos.
This brand new fund raising is done thanks to KickStarter.com and the project is located at
https://kck.st/dtxL9y
Please allow me to explain how all of this works.
Contrary to normal fund raising/donations, fund do not change hands immediately. Instead, by KickStarter policy, the total of the funds need to be raised, before any funds are transferred to the project owner.
So what does this mean specifically? Allow me to give an example:
- John pledges $20
- John card will be charged when the project reaches its funding deadline. If the project does not reach its funding goal, his card is never charged. That's what is called a pledge.
- When the funding goal is reached, then, as the owner and project creator, I will request all the funds
- If funding doesn't succeed, backers (people pledging) are not charged anything and all pledges are canceled.
For more details and further information about KickStarter, please go to

I am excited about the opportunity to use KickStarter toward funding of my Naxos CD.
I would like to invite you to check out the project, the rewards for supporting the project and please consider pledging.
If you have any questions, please feel free to post them on here, or email me at avguste@avgusteantonov.com
Alternatively, you can post those questions on my site forums.
Thank you for taking the time to check out my project.
Thank you for your support
Yours Truly
