Truly a giant of the pianistic and compositional world. Without her, many works by her husband wouldn't have been so popular and influential, or some wouldn't have existed at all.

Terrible news!  In all honestly I had assumed she was already deceased.  But I have many of her recordings and certainly she is a seminal figure.  Requiescat in pace!

Indeed a most sad loss. That said, although her contribution to Messiaen's reputation is as immense as it so well deserves to be recognised as being, her performances of other composers also have much to offer. She was one of the first to present Boulez's piano music to the public and, on another level altogether, my first experience of her plahying was an utterly stunning performance of the four Ballades of - well, need I name him?!

Are her recordings of messiaen's bird pieces for solo piano, the catalogue and petites esquisses, still available?
