Help
on: May 24, 2010, 03:48:30 AM
Hello,

I'm new to this Forum and I need some advice. I'm getting older and I want to pick up a new hobby,
I always loved hearing Piano being played, it relaxes my mind.
My question is, which keyboard should I first learn to play on, before I move on to the Piano and also
any book suggestions about learning how to play .. PS Cannot afford piano lessons.

Thank you ....
Alexsander K.

If you don't have a teacher (good ones are hard to find) then you won't be relaxed for long - you'll be frustrated.  I'll leave you with this thought - if muscles can only pull how can you get the key to go down?

Hehe, that was my exact thought when I read the Alex's post.  I wouldn't wish to discourage anyone from learning—making music certainly has joys of its own—but passive listening (and ensuing relaxation) is an entirely different experience.
What passes you ain't for you.
