Anyone have a Yamaha P85?

Does anyone have a Yamaha P85, if so what are your experiences with it?

I found this review (https://www.mydigitalpiano.com/yamaha-p85/) which was helpful however I just want to find out what others think.

I have been playing piano for around 8 years and mainly play classical music. I have always used an acoustic piano and I am looking for a digital piano that sounds and feels like an acoustic piano.

Thanks in advance

Someone who has never played the piano before might like the P85.

But anyone who knows how an acoustic piano feels will be disappointed with this one. It has Yamaha's GHS keyboard action. That's their cheapest kind. Not good at all.

This one goes for about $600 new. For twice the price you can get the newer P155. It is VASTLY better in all respects.

If you at all serious about the piano, skip the P85.

If you want to buy a good digital, go to a big dealer and trying all out, alot.

I have a P-85 and honestly I'm in LOVE with it. I've played on many pianos and every time the action was TIGHTER with the P-85 than on the real pianos. Both on uprights and on $175K grands in music stores! This is not to say it feels "better" but it's like running around with weights on. Release the weights and you're faster. Because of it's extremely "tight" action you'll gain a lot of finger strength. The P-85 has a better tonal quality than a lot of the uprights I've played on as well (never a grand) so thats a plus. Overall I'm more than satisfied with this buy and I've had it since Feb(Said that to say it's been well played).
