It has come to my attention that those with big mounths and tiny ears are confused by my lucid legato achieved in my perfoermances of Scarlatti. I never, repeat - never, use any pedal for Scarlatti or JS Bach. Haydn and Mozart, I occassionally use sustaining pedal sparingly.

To achieve a lucid legato without pedal requires stunning and profound technique. Are my critics being prophetic? Ah thankyou, the Lord does work in mysterious ways. This will be the only "exceptiion" to the rule. There will be no more pedalled performances of Scarlatti.
