Great boy!! In my opinion you understand perfectly this piece, with adecuate tempis and great dynamics, with almost perfect resolution in the last page (not easy to unload the big tension in this climax). You'll improve it during your live... Congratulations.

As I'm a student, I don't really understand much of the wrong things you've did. What I hear here is a wonderful technique. But one thing I can tell you for sure: you definetly touched me! You've made music, not only empty notes. I like very much your interpretation. You put in there all your heart and soul! Thanks for sharing this.

Good luck!

You show a sensitivity and respect for what you are playing, which is very important.  And that's a cool red shirt you're wearing in your pic.

First of all, let me say that was superb musicianship.  SO musical and mature.  A beautiful tone, a moving line, deeply thought out.  Really wonderful playing.  There were some technical problems but they will be ironed out in time.
I only have two observations.  Your melodic conception is great.  We never lose the train of thought.  It's presence is intense throughout.  BUT, you overlook many many of the chords in the left hand.  It's quite constant.  Like you aren't really considering the importance of the harmonies.  The most notable example, of course is at  0:12 and 1:42.  Where is the b natural in the left hand?  It's a leading tone going to the c.  I don't hear it at all.  But there are many more places.  Take the music and follow the recording and you will be aware of it as well.  Once you've mastered these harmonic structures as well, it will be quite perfect!
The final chords should be in time.  You did a great job in the coda and the excitement is sort of lost when you broaden out those chords at the end.
A very poetic interpretation.  Bravo!

Very very beautiful especially for your age aparently!

Good control, feeling and conception of the piece.

Still, I would take it a little faster, and for your age I'd like to hear more... how to put it... craziness? explosivness? something less calculated maybe, just let go here or there...

I know it's Chopin and not Liszt, but it's a ballade not a nocturne.

But overall great job. Keep up the good work.

This is a beautiful performance indeed! I agree with the comment above that you could use a slightly faster basic tempo - while you play the melodic lines very convincingly, I do feel that the tension sags a little in several spots (the reiteration of the 2nd theme at 5.35, for instance). And indeed the left hand would deserve more attention. Perhaps somewhat more bravura in the buildup to the end wouldn't be a bad thing either, but I think that will come by itself, once you've mastered all the technical demands. Anyway, great to hear this performance, thanks for posting it.
