A very popular piece by Schumann which has been posted so many times here in PS.  I just wish that some members would give this rendition by Enzo a listen.  He played this very recently in a solo recital. There is always something to learn from those who have played or studied this before.   T H A N K S . . . . .

It's always fascinating to hear such young talent play these "war-horses".  And as a teacher I would be tempted to impose MY conception of the piece on the pianist.  I say "tempted" because apart from maybe letting him hear bits and pieces from me, I would prefer he really played it from his own heart.  He should listen, of course, to MANY interpretations, but in the end, he has to form his own ideas.  I would tell him, first of all, what arabesque means and how that is transtlated into the various motifs of the piece.  And how to attain it.
But he plays this very well, like a boy of his age.  It will definitely mature with time. And I especially liked the first slow intermezzo.  the way he follows the line.
Bravo!
