Spring 1941 Cello Concerto
on: August 16, 2010, 02:43:21 AM
Has anyone seen this movie? The main character is a cellist and (at the beginning and end of the movie) plays a cello concerto that I don't recognize.  Does anyone know which one it is? I'd love to look up the rest of it.

Here's a trailer, I can't find a video of the scene where she performs the concerto, though (and the music in the trailer is not part of it)
Pieces:
Beethoven - Sonata No. 17 in D minor, Op. 31 No. 2
Chopin - Nocturne in Bb minor Op. 9 No. 1
Debussy - "La Danse De Puck"
Somers - Sonnet No. 3, "Primeval"
Gershwin - Concerto in F

I checked imdb.com and amazon and didn't find anything.  There is a soundtrack page on imdb.  This might be too new for them to have the information up.  No CD is available either on amazon.

No luck on the British amazon site either.

I found some more.

Misha Segal did the music.

And I found this on Google but I'm not finding anything on the site -- either on that page or with a search of the site.  It came up in the Google results.
