Home needed urgently for 8ft Bechstein (free)
on: December 19, 2002, 03:39:25 PM
I have a Bechstein model D grand piano (8ft long) in urgent need of a temporary home. I am moving out of my flat in London (UK) on 8 January and have nowhere to move it. If you would be prepared to keep it tuned, insured and in good condition for half the cost of moving it in (about £500?) you would be welcome to keep it for a minimum of 1 year.

The instrument needs tuning but has a beautiful tone. If you are interested in this offer please contact me urgently on 0777 176 2510 to discuss. Thanks.

Hello Gideon,

I would love to house your piano, but I live in LA.  If shipping was affordable would you consider.  I have great insurance and excellent piano techs as well.  I understand your post about splitting the moving costs.  If not LA, then I will also inqure of friends and collegues in London.

Hope this may help you

It would be my ultimate dream to house that piano, but I live in B.C., Canada and we only have room for a 5'8", or maybe at the most a 7'0" if we move a few couches and a coffee table, which would a pain in the butt. :-[ Good luck finding a home for it!
