Long long time ago I did. Mozart's "Turkish March"...the lady said I was a prodigy, something that afterwards my teacher told me I would only beleive if I was a fool....she never sent me back to those competitions....I had actually forgot about that untill now.

I played Rondo alla Turca at a competition too, a local Oslo-competition when I was 9 or so. The lady threw me out because I played too fast. I always played to fast. (Damn why did I play too fast?)

Really? That I remember that one lady thought I had the greatest technique because my little boy hands were flying on that song...like 3x the speed it should be played....lol That's sad that you got kicked out for having fun with it....

Yeah, I know. You know, somebody called me something like a genious or something. A physical prodigy. Though...I don't know why, but playing fast has never been any stress. So once I played the scale-part in Rondo alla Turca as fast as I could, my father did some math and told me I had played 22 keys per second. I don't know if that's even possible...

However, I've benefitted from that later on. Though, one must remember. Rapidness is not everything. It's what you use it for. That lady told me I destroyed a masterpiece. Which I did. But I was 9 years old, what should I do?

I hate those ladies. They're always...so..grumpy. Don't you agree?
