Technical work for intermediate students

I have a number of 5th grade AMEB students and I'm, getting sick on Hanon. Are there any other interemediate/advanced level technical workbooks out there?

I wonder about the popularity of Hanon...
The most boring exercises, IMHO. Why anyone should play Hanon when there's Czerny at so many different difficulty levels. I always found Czerny exercises to be stimulating and interesting.

I think Quantum said in another thread that you can create exercises out of the difficulties found in the piece.

i think there's a couple of pretty ok/decent books out by some guy named Bach.  they're kind of old (i.e. came out long before many methods including hannon...), i think there's been a good pianist or two here and there and maybe also composers in the past  that utilized them to some success...gosh the name escapes me, rhymes with well tempered clavier or something like that

Try liszt, even though it might be hard. I haven't tried them though.
