Mid-America Music Association Competition
on: December 20, 2002, 10:21:58 AM
Hello!  I have a question concerning the annual Mid-America Music Association Competition, also referred to as MAMA, that takes place during the summer.  I'm a college piano major teaching piano part time privately at home.  Before starting my own studio, I was teaching at a local music store.  And it was through the music store that I came to know about the MAMA competition, a festival that I assume is mostly music stores affiliated?  Is it only through music stores that students are eligible for this festival?  I have a student who has done the MAMA festival for the last 2 years.  However, now that I'm teaching privately, I have no way of getting info concerning MAMA and this student is really looking forward to participating again.  Can anyone help?  I tried looking for a MAMA website, or anything of that matter on the internet but with no avail.  Please, if you have any advice or suggestions or know how I can get in touch of the MAMA people, please post a reply or email me directly by clicking on my screenname underneath "Started by".  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you very much!
